Gar Lile is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Lile Real Estate, which he established in February 1993. He is a licensed real estate broker in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas; an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC); and an Arkansas Certified General Appraiser.

Since 1989, Gar has been extensively involved in the valuation, brokerage, and development of agricultural, timberland, and recreational properties throughout the Mid-South. He has served as the lead facilitator in the placement of hundreds of thousands of acres and is credited with founding the two largest Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) joint ventures in the United States: the approximately 7,200-acre Woodson Joint Venture in 2003 and the approximately 11,400-acre England Joint Venture in 2006.

Gar’s commitment to conservation earned national recognition in the November/December 2005 issue of Audubon Magazine, which featured his work returning marginal farmland to its natural state through government conservation programs.

A former candidate member of the Appraisal Institute, Gar was selected to participate in the organization’s Young Advisory Council in Washington, D.C., in 1996. He remains actively involved in the ownership and development of farms and recreational properties throughout Arkansas and has participated in numerous major agricultural and recreational development projects.

Gar is the managing partner of Lile Farming Company, which produces row crops and rice. Through his personal farming operations, as well as his management of several prominent large-scale farming operations and joint ventures, he has developed extensive knowledge of current agricultural practices. He also understands how government cost-share and conservation programs can be used to improve crop yields, irrigation systems, and the overall productivity of agricultural land.

A lifelong outdoorsman and former national trustee of Delta Waterfowl, Gar has a deep appreciation for the challenges facing North America’s natural resources, particularly its waterfowl populations and habitats. He is a Life Sponsor of Delta Waterfowl and a sponsor member of Ducks Unlimited, the Quality Deer Management Association, The Nature Conservancy, and the National Audubon Society. He also serves on the board of the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation.

Gar served for approximately seven years as a national director on the Delta Waterfowl Foundation Board. In December 2014, he was named an honorary director.

Gar earned a Bachelor of Science in business with a minor in agriculture from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He is active in the Catholic Church and the Boys & Girls Club. Gar and his wife, Teresa, have been married since 1986 and have three children: Gardner and his wife, Leah; Garrett and his wife, Kathleen; and Grace Ann.
