Born and raised in Searcy, Dustin Roddy developed an early connection to the land and water that shape eastern Arkansas. A 2001 graduate of Searcy High School, his upbringing was rooted in the outdoors, whether he was duck hunting, deer hunting, bowhunting or fishing throughout the Cache River and White River corridors, including Beedeville, Gregory, Cotton Plant, Augusta, Georgetown, and Des Arc. Those formative days in flooded timber and bottomland fields sparked a lifelong passion for wildlife habitat and conservation.

Before beginning his career in land and farm development, Dustin was an accomplished athlete. He played college baseball from 2001 to 2004 after being drafted out of high school by the Chicago White Sox in 2001. He was later drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2002 and again by the Cleveland Guardians in 2004, and he went on to play three professional seasons. The discipline, work ethic, and long-term mindset he developed through baseball continue to influence his approach to land management and client relationships today.

In April 2016, Dustin became a licensed real estate agent, and just a few months later, he and his partners purchased their first farm. That experience marked the beginning of a focused mission: acquiring, improving, and developing land with an emphasis on wildlife and waterfowl habitat. Over the past decade, he has bought and enhanced multiple farms and has helped other landowners do the same through Cache River Farms, a venture centered on transforming properties into productive, conservation-minded recreational and agricultural assets.

Starting with smaller parcels of 20 to 80 acres, Dustin steadily grew his experience and portfolio, learning firsthand how to evaluate raw ground, make strategic improvements, and increase both habitat value and long-term land potential. Along the way, he has connected numerous buyers and investors with farms suited for recreation, row-crop production and wildlife development.
Whether working on his own property or for a client, Dustin’s passion lies in transforming a raw or lightly improved piece of ground into a true wildlife destination. For him, there is no better reward than pulling up to a farm and watching large numbers of waterfowl use a property that once held none.

Deeply committed to waterfowl conservation, Dustin approaches every project with a long-term view by balancing habitat improvement, responsible land stewardship, and the traditions that make Arkansas’s outdoor heritage incredibly special.
